What is a Bible Institute?
A Bible Institute is a non-degree granting school of adult education, primarily for lay people, designed to provide advanced training and equipping in biblical and doctrinal studies, ministry skills and leadership skills so they may be better prepared to do the “work of the ministry.”
One of the keys to impacting our world for Christ is reaching adults with the gospel and then training and equipping them for ministry within the local church. The third part of the Great Commission is to “teach them to observe all things…”. This type of local church Bible institute is desperately needed today.
In a Bible institute there is a specialized emphasis on the practical study of the Bible and Bible-related subjects with the goal of applying what is learned to everyday life and ministry.
Cambridge Bible Institute
Cambridge Bible Institute offered its first class in the Fall of 2010. It had been in the hearts and minds and prayers of both the Elders and members of Cambridge Bible Church for several years. It is our desire to provide quality, God-honoring, academically and practically focused learning opportunities for our church, our sister churches, and our community.
Classes have been offered on Basic Christian Living, Bible Study Basics, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Understanding the Language of the Bible, Understanding Teaching, Preparation for Speaking, Introduction to Missions, Systematic Theology I & II, and Church History. CBI currently has forty-six students enrolled. It is our hope and prayer, if God wills and provides, to continue to offer classes covering a wide range of subject matter in the areas of Bible, Theology, and personal ministry.
Classes are open to all adults (and High School Juniors and Seniors with prior approval) . Class structure includes some reading and writing assignments at a basic level. We extend a cordial invitation for you to join us in our ongoing studies at Cambridge Bible Institute. For an Application for Admission or a schedule of upcoming classes contact us by email at institute@CambridgeBibleChurch.org or by phone or regular mail as listed on the CBC contact page.
Under the authority of God and His Word, and in commitment to Christ and His Church, the Cambridge Bible Institute exists to equip and motivate the saints to grow in their knowledge of God and His Word, to be grounded and strengthened in their Christian Faith and to advance the cause of Christ through ministries of the local Church that educate, edify, and evangelize.

Our Foundational Belief
We believe the foundation of all Truth is the inspired Holy Scriptures, comprised of the Old and New Testaments. We believe in absolute, objective truth, that this truth has been given to us clearly by God, that we can understand it, that it is without error and incapable of error, that it is our absolute and final authority for all of life and practice, and that it is certain and sure.
