The Gift of Eternal Life

Four Important Spiritual Truths

1.  No matter how good we are, every person has a sin nature and has sinned, thus disqualifying us from entering into God’s Heaven.
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death…

 2.  The sin in our lives brings God’s curse and His wrath upon us, condemns us to eternal, spiritual death, and eternally separates us from God.
Isaiah 59:2 – But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.
Galatians 3:10 – … Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written
in the book of the law to do them.
John 3:18 – … he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36 – … he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.

3.  Jesus Christ died on behalf of sinners, that He might endure the entire curse for us, and redeem us back to God.
Romans 5:8 – But God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
Galatians 3:13 – Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…

4.  Eternal Life is in Christ alone and is now given to us on behalf of what Christ has done.  The only human condition to receive this gift is faith.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 3:18 – He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36 – He that believes on the Son has everlasting life; and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.
1 John 5:12 – He that has the Son has Life.  He that has not the Son of God has not Life.
Romans 4:5 – But to him that works not, but believes on Him that justifies
the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteouness.

Ephesians 2:8, 9 – For by Grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast.
